Missions Sunday
Last Sunday we had what we call Missions Sunday. We got to hear from several our teens who went to the Biblical worldview academy in Phoenix back in June. We got to hear from Tina who went to Thailand to pick up her sister for a visit to our country. We got to hear from a young man in our church family named Taven who went on a missions trip to Mongolia in July.
What blessed me is to see how God is working through the young people in our church family, whether it is going overseas or doing something here in our own country.
Currently we do not have a youth ministry of our own. Many of our youth participate in Oasis Youth Ministries, which is a local youth ministry. So on Sunday mornings, Jr. High and Highschoolers either stay in the sanctuary with the adults or help out with the nursery.
To see what God is doing in our young people is encouraging to me, because it shows me that God is working in their hearts through the teaching of the word on Sunday's morning and Wednesday nights.
Never forget that God is working in young people, even though you may not always see it.
